Erin Ashley is a first-generation college graduate with a degree in Social & Behavioral Science. After earning her AA, she transferred to Chico State University, located in northern California, where she was raised. The circumstances of her upbringing were shaped by many unique challenges and barriers. Thankfully, this provided her with valuable lived experiences that fueled her passion for working in social services and supporting individuals in need.
While attending university, Erin began volunteering at a homeless shelter serving at-risk youth. Her dedication and compassion quickly led her from volunteer to outreach worker, and eventually to housing case manager. Each of these roles provided her with unique insights and skills, which she used to then move on to a position working for a behavioral health program. In this role, she gained extensive training related to crisis intervention, de-escalation, risk management, and a broader professional understanding of the mental health system.
Recently relocated to Spokane, Erin plans to attend Eastern Washington University in 2026 to complete her bachelor’s degree in Social Work. In her free time, she enjoys exploring her artistic abilities, playing video games, and spending time with her loved ones.
