Originally from Montana, I began working in behavioral health in 2001, starting as a dishwasher at an inpatient facility. Over time, I moved into direct care roles, eventually becoming a counselor—a position that remains at the heart of my work. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College and a Master’s from Gonzaga University.

Throughout my career, I’ve held a wide range of roles, from residential monitor and counselor to director and even maintenance, giving me a unique perspective on the behavioral health system. With both lived experience and professional training, I bring empathy, understanding, and a simple philosophy: often it’s the system that’s broken—not the person.
